California Condor Skull BC-077 The California Condor is the largest flying bird in North America, having a wingspan of 9 1/2 feet and weighing up to 24 pounds. Being vultures, they eat only dead animals. Once ranging from Baja, California north to British Columbia, their numbers now are perhaps several dozen.
