Orangutan
SC-002
The orangutan is the largest extant arboreal mammal, and is the most solitary of the great apes. Their hip, knee and ankle joints are very flexible and their feet are designed to help them hang on to branches. When on the ground, their mode of locomotion is described as quadrupedal fist-walking, with their weight on their fists (knuckles and palms) and on the outer edges of their feet. Sumatran orangutans are restricted to a small area on the island of Sumatra and are considered in danger of imminent extinction. Custom Mounting Available for All Skeletons, Please Inquire.
