A skeletal trauma example, this tibia exhibits a stress facet. Extended periods of time spent squatting down may result in squatting facets (smooth, flat divots). When one squats down with heels flat on the floor, the tibia extends over and beyond the talus (ankle bone), resulting in the formation of a stress facet on the distal end of the tibia.
