Human Male Cranium with Healed Frontal Bone Fracture and Inca Bone
BCH-811 $365.00
This blunt force trauma cranium exhibits a healed fracture on the frontal bone involving the left browridge. There are different types of fractures, which are classified according to the cause or type of break. Blunt force fractures (or compression fractures) are caused by sudden and excessive impaction. They result in the collapse of the bone or the depression of the bone (pieces pressed inward). There is also a linear depression on the frontal to the right of the midline above glabella. Additionally, there are four small depressions on the left parietal, two on the right parietal, and two on the occipital. This skull also exhibits an Inca bone (an accessory triangular sutural bone located at the lambda).
