Human Tibia Fracture with Sagittal Cut
KO-445 $130.00

The tibia is the large major weight bearing bone in the lower leg. Often referred to as the “shin-bone”, it articulates with the femur, fibula and talus. From the Stanford-Meyer Collection at the San Diego Museum of Man, this specimen is a right tibia with a healed simple transverse fracture of the distal portion of the diaphysis. This is an excellent example of a healed simple fracture and those interested in human osteology and pathology will appreciate examining the callus in sagittal cross section.
