Chimpanzee Fetal Skull BC-205 Near term fetal Chimpanzee skull shows the beginning eruption of incisors and early molars. The gestation period for Chimpanzees is 8 months. Their weight at birth is about four pounds; they grow to an adult weight of up to 120 pounds if male and up to 100 pounds if female. Their faces are pale at birth, gradually darkening as they age.
