The collection was assembled by Aleš Hrdlička of the Smithsonian Institution for the 1915 Panama-California Exposition. Most of the specimens were collected in Peru in 1913. We are grateful to the San Diego Museum of Man for allowing us to select specimens for reproduction and granting us exclusive casting rights to these pieces from their valuable Hrdlička Paleopathology, Stanford-Meyer Osteopathology, and Boring Collections. A portion of sales goes to further their work. Sling Shot Wound Cranium Circular depressed fracture thought to have been caused by a stone hurled by a sling.
