Bone Clones began producing replica skulls in 1993.  That year, an unanticipated moment of inspiration led to the idea that a perfectly reproduced skull of an endangered species could further understanding of that species. It also led to the recognition that to do so, the reproduction had to capture the original in exquisite detail. Our first skull replica was a Gorilla skull (BC-001).  Since then the Bone Clones collection of non-human primates has grown to include numerous   skulls, skeletons, hands, feet, pelvis, and post cranial bones from many species. This vast collection includes skulls and skeletons of Apes, New and Old World Monkeys, and Prosimians.
