This cast was created from the CT scanned and 3D printed hand of a living person. This fully articulated hand with stand is an extremely detailed and unique reproduction. Note the small sesamoid bones (small rounded bones embedded in tendons, usually located near joints) located on the distal portions of the metacarpals. Compare this cast with the life cast from the same hand, LC-17 (shown together below, sold separately). This cast would be an excellent example for studying the anatomy of the human wrist and hand.
