Sharks & Rays

Elasmobranchii (sharks and rays) is a subclass of cartilaginous fish and appear in the fossil record about 400 million years ago. What distinguishes them from other cartilaginous fish are five to seven pairs of gills, a liver full of oil to maintain buoyancy, upper jaw not attached to the skull and a continuous supply of new teeth, since many are lost during growth and feeding. Bone Clones offers several species of shark, rays and fish that would be of great use in biology, zoology, and paleontology programs.
