Early Homo Skulls

The genus Homo appeared in the fossil record at approximately 2 million years ago. While there is much debate as to application of names to the fossil record for genus Homo, specimens are generally characterized by a larger and rounded braincase, less projecting face, small teeth, and a skeleton more adapt to bipedalism.
