Male Chacma Baboon Skull
BC-258 $277.00
The male chacma baboon, much heavier than the female, weighs from 57 to 68 pounds. Able to run 35-40 mph, these primates also possess sharp hearing and eyesight, a necessity on the open savannahs. They signal threats by staring, raising their eyebrows, flattening their ears, grinding their teeth and yawning. They also communicate with growls, grunts, chattering and barks. Two baboons may touch noses in a friendly greeting. Spending most of their time on the ground, they forage for fruit, seeds, leaves, flowers and occasionally will eat animals. 2-part skull (separate cranium & jaw).
A custom metal display stand is also available below.
Jaw available individually as well, please inquire.
