These remains are of a 65-year-old European American male who died of heart disease (as a complication of alcoholism), as documented at the time of the individual’s death. There is fusion of the 5th lumbar vertebra and the sacrum, a relatively common condition and one that is likely to be encountered in a large skeletal collection.
