Snowy Owl Egg
KO-431 $30.00
(Acrylic stand included)
The snowy owl nests on the ground in the arctic with a clutch that depending on the food supply can range from 4-10 per year. It winters in parts of Canada and the U.S. The barn owl may be mistaken for the snowy owl because of its white underparts, but the snowy owl is bigger and has small, yellow eyes. The coloring of snowy owls may range from a salt and pepper look to all white. Males grow whiter as they age. View our North American Bird Egg Collection.
As with all Bone Clones® products, only the finest casting materials are used to cast our North American bird egg series. Our expert artists paint each with meticulous care to match the eggs that were used in the casting process. Each egg is hand painted with permanent dyes and sealed with a resistant coating that makes it ideal for handling, study, teaching, as well as for display.
Owl eggs are naturally white, but over time can appear darker in color due to their time in the nest. Our owl eggs are painted to match the original specimens as we received them, which is more tan in color. If you require your owl egg to be painted white to match a fresh egg, please let us know in the comment section during checkout, or contact us soon after you've placed your order. We'd be happy to accommodate this request.
