Disarticulated hand from Aye-aye Skeleton SC-353. The aye-aye uses its specialized middle finger for extracting insect larvae from the inside of trees. This long, narrow finger can swivel in nearly all directions. The life history of this 10-year-old male aye-aye can be found in the Duke Lemur Center Database under the ID DLC6725.
